Resourcing Lead

Job Description

We are supporting a large NHS organisation in the South West to recruit an experienced Resourcing Lead. The postholder will be responsible for resourcing, including providing sustainable solutions to reduce reliance on external resource.

The position will be offered on a 12 month fixed term contract.

Role responsibilities will include:

  • Working in partnership with operational leaders, professional leads and business as usual teams to establish relevant resourcing plans which support the delivery of high quality care;

  • To act as an advocate of change and modernisation in support of clinical, operational and people strategies, championing best practice, influencing key clinical and operational decisions;

  • Analyse and provide timely and relevant Management Information, highlighting key trends and proactively influencing service decision making and prioritisation;

  • Proactively identify employment issues and trends from workforce data and feedback mechanisms and support the development of local and organisation wide resourcing interventions which drive improvements and reduce reliance on external resource;

  • Facilitate and assist with maintaining a positive person-centred approach that develops feelings of mutuality, encourages co-operation, and minimises the causes and effects of conflict;

  • To provide compassionate and credible guidance to the relevant service areas on complex resourcing issues to provide the best outcomes for all parties;

  • Lead on the development of team recovery plans that advocate for sustainable solutions in regarding to substantive resourcing without reliance on external options.

Skills and experience required:

  • Degree level qualification in relevant related subject area or equivalent experience to degree level;

  • Evidence of demonstrable excellent leadership and management skills in a complex working environment;

  • Skilled in interpreting local, regional and national direction and guidance to develop new resourcing related practices, policies and processes;

  • Project and programme management experience;

  • Expertise in specialist areas such as employee relations, workforce planning, OD, resourcing, management, leadership;

  • Experience in contributing to achieving synergies and budget saving plans.
