Interim Senior Executive Assistant

Job Description

We are working with an NHS Trust who are looking for an Interim Senior Executive Assistant, the role will be to support the CEO and line manage the additional Director’s Executive Assistants within the team.

The Trust are looking for someone with gravitas, experienced and able to influence. The role will involve support the CEO, managing priorities and expectations, diary management, email management, administrative support and gatekeeping.

This role will interview and start ASAP under the AfC NHSI Agency Capped rates and will be remunerated at band 6 and will be for c3 months. For the right candidate there is an opportunity to go temp to perm with this role.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • This role comprises a range of core tasks and areas of responsibility relating to the governance and effective operation of the Chief Executive’s Office.

  • Oversee CEO correspondence (internal and external) to ensure timely and appropriate responses, managing the workload of the corporate support business officer.

  • Diary/meeting management and co-ordination for CEO and Chair (internal and external meetings).

  • Provide line management of EA team in matters of operational cover/effectiveness and transactional HR issues.

  • Ensure director-level meetings are co-ordinated, planned and diarised in an appropriate timeframe.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Recognised Leadership and/or Administration Management qualification or equivalent relevant experience.

  • Experience of working across service boundaries and maintaining credible relationships with colleagues.

  • Recognised secretarial / business administration / management NVQ level 3 qualification or equivalent level of knowledge and experience.

  • Demonstrates excellent communication and interpersonal skills with both internal and external colleagues.

  • Able to deal with pressurised deadlines and potentially controversial and sensitive situations.
