Capital Project Delivery Manager

Finegreen are supporting a large NHS organisation in the recruitment of a Capital Project Delivery Manager work in the East Midlands. This is an interim position for 3 – 6 months initially which will require full time on site working.

The position will have a competitive rate to fulfil the organisational requirements. The post holder will deliver an effective estates capital planning service in line with the organisation’s estate strategy and development control plan.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering of capital projects for major and minor works;

  • Provide professional advice and support to the organisation, and other authorities, in relation to all capital estates works, including sensitive, complex, and contentious financial, PFI legal and contractual information;

  • Evaluate and consider the most appropriate mechanism and route for the delivery of the Project, and advise accordingly, considering all options and requirements;

  • Using knowledge of PFI Contract Variation mechanisms to ensure the successful delivery of all estate capital and revenue developments;

  • Ensure that capital projects are delivered within an appropriate organisational and compliance framework;

  • Manage all risk and health and safety issues associated with the project delivery and ensure compliance with relevant legislation;

  • Define and commission surveys and assessments of existing infrastructure to establish base information prior to establishing proposals;

  • Be responsible for planning and organising work activities and formulating programmes of works for various capital development schemes within the built environment including the production and updating of project programmes using appropriate software;

  • Ensure co-ordination of the development of both mechanical and electrical installations which support the building works.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Must have experience working within the NHS/ a healthcare setting;

  • Educated to Degree level or equivalent relevant professional experience;

  • Experience of programme and/or project Management in the NHS;

  • Extensive experience of Business case / report writing for a range of audiences, including the presentation of complex statistics and information;

  • Excellent communication skills.
