Billing Manager

Job Description

A new opportunity has arisen to work for an NHS organisation who are seeking to appoint a Billing Manager on an interim basis. The role will be based on site, though hybrid working may be considered.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing strong and effective leadership to specific non-clinical teams;
  • Ensuring delivery against all key targets and performance indicators;
  • Analysing and reporting service level activity and access performance information for a range of audiences;
  • Liaising with the Business Administration Manager on any areas of concern relating to activity and coding of performance;
  • Contributing to the investigation of patient complaints to ensure that appropriate and timely responses are given and that trends are identified and remedial action taken;
  • Managing own staffing budget, ensuring the optimum use of resources and establishing and maintaining effective management process to ensure financial control;
  • Identifying and implementing cost improvements and explore revenue generation opportunities.
  • The ideal candidate will have:

  • Proven experience in a similar role, ideally within an NHS organisation;
  • Strong people management skills with day to day line management experience;
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
