Senior Corporate Governance Manager

Job Description

We are currently support a Healthcare Service Provider in the recruitment of a Head of Corporate Governance, working on a substantive basis within the West Midlands.

The post holder will be required to work 3 days per week with the ability of hybrid working arrangements. The salary will be £47,500 pa.

The post holder will have an in‐depth professional knowledge and expertise of corporate governance procedures, leading the administration of Board and Committee meetings.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Ensure that in accordance with best practice, the Board and its Directors will have arrangements in place to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and regulations;

  • Ensure that all Registers and reports required by relevant legislation are established and

  • maintained, and along with any appropriate reports, ensuring they are available for inspection;

  • Responsibility for corporate governance arrangements including the CRGPA Board Assurance Framework (BAF), the corporate risk register and information governance standards;

  • Supporting the Senior Management Team to ensure that updates are made in a timely manner to provide evidence‐based assurance and to allow effective reporting to, and discussion at, Board and bi‐monthly Committee meetings;

  • Produce and deliver presentations for the board and external organisation's;

  • Prepare clear and structured assurance reports to the Board and Committees;

  • Working on specific projects on behalf of the Chief Executive as required.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • First Degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant field or equivalent experience;

  • Providing leadership and having operational responsibility for a specialist governance area, including the implementation and monitoring for the delivery of national policies;

  • Can demonstrate evidence of a range of service and or organisational performance and change management projects;

  • Ability to analyse complex information and problem solve;

  • Advanced keyboard skills and competence at using Microsoft Office packages included Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
