Finegreen are currently supporting an NHS organisation in the recruitment of a Patient Safety Manager. The post will be working on an interim basis for 3 – 6 months and can be conducted remotely.
The hourly rate will be: £34.65, working inside IR35 (through an umbrella solution).
The post holder will provide professional support, guidance and advice to all related Patient Safety Matters.
Key responsibilities will include:
Providing line management, support and guidance for the Patient Safety Advisors, working in a small team;
Ensure robust systems are in place to monitor and to support individual services in ensuring audit compliance and to embed service improvements identified through the audit process;
Ensure services are providing clinical services in line with national policies and CQC regulation;
Daily review of incidents and complaints for a number of specified services;
Produce regular reports from and respond to queries;
Analyse report data, highlight areas of concern and propose potential courses of action;
Analyse incident and complaint feedback and develop and deliver mechanisms to share best practice and learning;
Ensure robust frameworks, systems and processes are in place to support the management of patient safety across the organisation, including the sharing of lessons and learning from serious incident investigations;
Liaise with external stakeholders regarding all aspects of serious incidents.
The ideal candidate will have:
Must have senior management experience working within the NHS;
In-depth specialist knowledge of the national agenda for patient safety;
Knowledge of clinical systems for data capture of incident reporting systems;
Great communication skills, able to write and present reports.
