Interim Site Operations Manager

Job Description

We are working with an NHS organisation who are seeking to appoint an Interim Site Operations Manager. This role will be for 3 months initially, though could extend and is expected to be based onsite.

This is an interim role that falls under the Workforce Alliance Framework and should be expected to be remunerated at c£260 per day.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • The post holder will be professionally accountable for the Trust’s Support Services and will lead the strategic direction of Soft Services;

  • Full responsibility of the day to day to day operations of Soft services;

  • To act as the lead officer on aspects of the NHS Plan related to the Patient Environment;

  • To provide leadership for teams within the facilities directorate to ensure the delivery of a relevant, high quality and cost effective service;

  • Responsible for monthly reporting to the General Manager and Head of Operations. Provide a summary of activity across the month;

  • To be responsible for setting the strategic direction of the Soft Service Contract and any other associated contracts;

  • To contribute to the Trust corporate activity and decision making in support of the General Manager, identifying and delivering Directorate objectives in line with Trust corporate objectives;

  • To produce an effective business plans including; Patient Environment Improvement plans in line with policies and priorities, that sets challenging targets for service performance and development, and to ensure its effective delivery;

  • Drive forward change management processes and innovative service delivery;

  • To identify new opportunities for service performance and development.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Degree educated or equivalent experience Management qualification;

  • Extensive Operational Site Manager or equivalent management experience within an Acute Hospital setting at Band 8a level;

  • Experience and understanding of soft services.
