Interim Project Manager - Transformation

Job Description

We are working with an NHS organisation who are seeking to appoint an Interim Project Manager - Transformation. This role will be for 3 months initially and is expected to be primarily remote working with an expectation of 1 or 2 days onsite per week.

Candidates must have significant experience of delivering Projects and Programmes within the NHS to successful outcomes. The successful candidate will have demonstrable experience managing transformation and change.

The role will start ASAP and is an interim role that falls under the Workforce Alliance Framework and should be expected to be remunerated at c£260 per day.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Responsible for the development and delivery of programme/project plans with agreed milestones and outcome KPI measures to achieve deliverables;

  • Lead on a key Vascular Transformation Project;

  • Responsible for motivating delivery teams and driving the projects, to develop and improve services;

  • Organise and administer associated meetings, keeping up-to-date action logs;

  • Effectively co-ordinate the programme/project and their dependencies/interfaces.

The ideal candidate will have/be:

  • Significant project/programme management expertise within an NHS healthcare setting;

  • Expertise of leading and delivering transformation projects/programmes;

  • Experience managing projects within a Surgical directorate;

  • Experience of working at band 8a level within the NHS;

  • Decisive and able to work well under pressure and in fast paced environments;

  • Able to resolve conflicts and support staff objectively while focusing on project delivery;

  • An awareness of techniques for planning, monitoring and controlling programmes;

  • Significant experience of communicating and working with staff at all levels.
