Interim General Manager - Outpatients

Job Description

We are working with an NHS organisation who are seeking to appoint an Interim General Manager for Outpatient services. This role will be for 5 months initially, though could extend and is expected to be based onsite.

This is an interim role that falls under the Workforce Alliance Framework and should be expected to be remunerated at c£320 per day.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • The post holder will ensure the delivery of the Trust’s short to medium-term objectives and key performance targets, with particular focus to the cancer 62 day target and RTT;

  • Providing day to day managerial leadership across the specified portfolio services;

  • Delivery of the directorates required operational requirements, including key performance indicators and relevant national and local standard of performance;

  • Accountable for high quality, effective performance and strategic development of the directorate and Trust;

  • Business planning.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Degree educated or equivalent experience Management qualification;

  • Extensive General Manager or equivalent management experience within an Acute Hospital setting at Band 8b level;

  • Experience and understanding of financial management, including previous responsibility for a budget.
