Finegreen are currently supporting a large NHS organisation in the appointment of a senior Finance professional who is an expert in the field of Capital Accounting.
Key responsibilities will include:
The Business Partner for Capital is a highly technical role;
Working to support the overall Finance team, the postholder will be required to link with other senior finance leads and staff from across the wider organisation;
This is in service of delivering these four main workstreams: Developing the Capital Plan, maintaining the asset register, to include leases, supporting investment decisions, including input into major business cases, reporting and advising on all aspects of Capital;
Expected to use detailed knowledge of the standing financial instructions and standing orders to provide accurate and timely financial support;
Assisting in the preparation of the Trust’s annual accounts, ensuring compliance with the national timetable, and relevant legislation;
Preparation of Annual Capital investment plans, internal reports, and statutory monitoring returns;
Advising the senior team oof any potential issues arising from the Capital workstream;
Contributing to the financial analysis of Capital business cases, projects, and service developments to ensure that all financial implications are fully understood;
Working with a range of stakeholders to contribute to the financial analysis of service transformation programmes;
Dealing with complex queries promptly and effectively.
The ideal candidate will have:
CCAB qualified Accountant;
Holds in depth specialist knowledge of the National NHS context and NHS financial policies;
Demonstrated experience working within Capital Accounting within a public sector organisation;
A track record of achievement in other NHS or complex organisations;
Technical experience of Capital accounting and Capital asset management.
