Estates Maintenance Building Coordinator - Community Sites

Job Description

We are working with an NHS organisation in London to appoint an Estates Maintenance Building Coordinator. The role will be on an interim period of 5 months, with an hourly rate of £24.32, working inside IR35 (through an umbrella solution company).

The post holder will be an experienced individual with a background in multi-skilled mechanical or electrical trades.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Oversight of the Estates Building team, able to effectively coordinate day-to-day duties and oversee works;
  • Proactively ensure the response time and completion time for reactive work orders are met from tradesmen starting and completing jobs on their PDAs;
  • Ensure that the organisations performance target of 80% for Estates Maintenance is met in respect to the time frame allocated to each reactive work order;
  • The post will work on community sites consisting of inpatient and non-inpatient buildings;
  • Must be a highly driven and enthusiastic individual who has the desire to progress a professional career within the NHS and the Estates Maintenance Team.
  • The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience within the NHS/ a healthcare setting;
  • City & Guilds certificate or NVQ Level 3 or other recognised course at the appropriate level;
  • A background in either mechanical or electrical trades;
  • Demonstrate sound knowledge within Estate Maintenance;
  • Logical and systematic thinker with excellent report writing skills;
  • Good attitude, punctuality, organisational and listening skills are a key part of this role as well as the ability to work as a team player within a large team;
  • Full UK driving license.
