Building Services Supervisor - Electrical

Job Description

We are currently working with Private Healthcare organisation in London who are looking to appoint a Building Services Supervisor – Electrical basis.

This role will be working on a contracting basis for 3 – 6 months to potentially be taken on permanently. The salary will be between £45,000 - 50,000 per annual, dependant on experience.

The post holder will provide leadership and support to the estates team and specialist contractors to ensure the estate is compliant and providing best value service at all times and foster a collaborative approach to delivering an outstanding service to caregivers and patients.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Manage Facilities and Estates team and contractors to ensure buildings are well maintained, compliant and provide the best environment of care for the patients;

  • Develop Preventative Maintenance needed for maintaining building systems in accordance with manufacturers recommendations and relevant HTM’S and HBN’s;

  • Review and update as required Estates and Facilities processes and policies currently in use and advice on best practice to improve systems where appropriate;

  • Perform quality assurance audits of work completed by assigned employees external specialists and contractors;

  • Develop and implement a sustainable Estates strategy and business plan to assist with the company’s growth;

  • Support the delivery of Health, Safety and Environmental strategy – working closely with the Health, Safety and Fire Manager;

  • Monitor both internal and external SLA’S and KPIs and ensure targets are met;

  • Work closely with external contractors to ensure we receive a high level of service and value for money;

  • Monitoring and control of specific delegated budgets for areas of responsibility;

  • Participate in out of hours call out rota;

  • Act as Authorized Person (AP) / Responsible Person (RP) in relation to specific maintenance responsibilities e.g. Water Hygiene, pressure systems, medical gases, etc.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experienced working within the NHS/ a healthcare setting;

  • BTECH HNC in Electrical engineering or Btec National Certificate in Electrical engineering;

  • Nebosh General Certificate in Health and safety or IOSH Health and Safety and working towards Nebosh general Certificate;

  • Experience working within a similar role;

  • Strong written and verbal communication with excellent report writing skills.
