Finegreen are currently working with a large NHS organisation in the appointment of an Associate Director of Operational Estates.
The role is responsible for operational estates from a Hard FM perspective, encompassing maintenance, engineering compliance etc. therefore the candidate will need to have a building services/construction/engineering background bias.
Key responsibilities will include:
Provide leadership, direction and staff support to all staff this will include; maintenance, compliance, backlog projects etc.
Overall responsibility for the continued safe operation of the estate and the day to day oversight of the granular detail that provides safe and effective outcomes that are measured against a combination of national standards and locally agreed quality metrics;
Responsible for the engineering and property key policy implementation and significant updates;
Provide direction and oversight of the backlog maintenance programme both annually and strategically within the five year plan;
Formulate plans strategies and concepts for reducing cost, improving service efficiency and reducing the Trust overarching risk profile;
Ensure the Estate steam contribute to the capital planning teams master planning process as and when required.
The ideal candidate will have:
Must have senior operational experience working within the NHS/ a healthcare setting;
In depth knowledge and understanding of NHS Policy and technical guidance, ability to interpret this in order to implement across the organisation;
Previous experience and sound understanding of the principles of reliability engineering;
Demonstrated senior operational management experience, coupled with strong communication skills, able to act as a strong leader to a team who need support/ managing engineering aspects of the role;
