The Role
The Integrated Care Board Executive Chief Medical Officer will work as part of a dynamic team in delivering key objectives supporting delivery of the overall ICB / ICS strategies. The post holder will have responsibility for the strategic and operational development and functioning of the ICB and its related business.
The role will support development and delivery of the clinical strategy for the ICB. The role will engage with a range of professionals across the ICS, and other organisations, so it is essential that the post holder is able to work at an executive level to influence and deliver on key priorities with stakeholders and partners.
The role will continue to lead and develop a framework for clinical and care professional leadership across Gloucestershire, ensuring there is a strong clinical and care professional voice in decision making at all levels across the system and leaders are supported in their decision-making role.
As a member of the ICB, the role is jointly responsible for planning and allocating resources to meet the four core purposes of Integrated Care Systems – improving outcomes in population health and healthcare; tackling inequalities in outcomes, experience and access; enhancing productivity and value for money as well as supporting broader social and economic development.
