Following the formal approval to deliver a brand new hospital on a greenfield site under the national New Hospital Programme, the new hospital will relocate all services from our current site in Harlow Town Centre. We also invested £28.4 million in capital infrastructure and equipment in the last year, with key projects including the development of electronic health records, upgrades to infrastructure across estate and ICT and CDC and radiology imaging facilities. The Technical Director will lead on the construction and commissioning stages of the development, managing plans in line with the vision and objectives of the New Hospital Programme. They will provide technical expertise in order to lead the delivery of the operational aspects of the Programme, including the development of the design and estate infrastructure for the site and provide solutions for any services identified as potentially moving off site. They will lead on procurement and the work of the design team, the construction partner and other contractors. They will engage well with stakeholders and work with construction partners to achieve the requirements of the brief.
