Prometheus is a leading provider of secure transportation solutions specialising in the mental health sector and Complex Care Enhanced Observations for Acute Trusts, Mental Health Services and Local Authorities. The Head of Quality and Governance will provide leadership on quality, compliance and governance for the whole of the organisation. The postholder must have a valid driving license to travel independently across regions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Continued development of the organisational governance framework;

  • Developing CQC, HSE compliance tools and action plans, coordinating CQC inspections and visits also supporting implementation of the National Patient Safety Strategy;

  • Implementing and managing the organisational audit framework, providing oversight of patient safety alerts;

  • Lead on Incident management, closure and lessons learnt, analysis of incident themes and trends also finding innovative ways to learn from incidents;

  • Reviewing safety information for better understanding of care safety, developing and maintaining the organisational risk register;

  • Working with operational teams on training resource development and delivery;

  • Collation and presentation of patient safety performance data;

  • Analysis of patient safety themes and trends;

  • Representing the company on cross-Group IG governance meetings;

  • Liaising with the Group Data Protection Officer (DPO) and information governance lead;

  • Handling statutory and regulatory notification and management (CQC and HSE);

  • Liaising with colleagues across the organisation to ensure high-quality patient care;

  • Coordinating efforts to enhance patient care;

Experience:

  • Extensive experience of corporate and clinical governance at a strategic and operational level;

  • Deep regulatory expertise built through experience in a range of healthcare settings;

  • Demonstrable ability to communicate, present, and influence key stakeholders at senior level;

  • Design and deliver presentations and training across a range of clinical and strategic issues to

  • diverse audiences;

  • Foster close and collaborative relationships with teams;

  • Excellent communication skills - able to communicate and influence effectively with

  • stakeholders 1:1 and collectively.

  • Effective compassionate communication both verbally and in writing;
