Executive Director of Nursing, AHPs & Quality

Job Description

Nottingham CityCare Partnership

Executive Director of Nursing, Allied Health Professionals (AHP) & Quality

Salary: VSM

Contract: Permanent

Location: Nottingham

Nottingham CityCare is far more than a simple provider of community healthcare services; we care for communities and employ local people who are embedded in those communities. We support and develop initiatives that aim to prevent ill health and injury and invest our social return in building wider community wellbeing. This is an exciting time to join us in our journey as our new Director of Nursing, AHP & Quality.

We were established in 2011 to provide healthcare services to the communities of Nottingham City. We employ approximately 1,200 staff who deliver high quality care through a broad range of health services in the community, ranging from health visiting for young families to community nursing and home-based rehabilitation services. In addition, we operate Nottinghamshire’s Urgent Treatment Centre.

As a social enterprise with an annual turnover of over £50m, we reinvest any surplus we make into improving our services and have the freedom to be flexible, innovative and responsive in delivering the services local people need, when and where they need them in the community.

We have an ambitious three-year strategy with a mission to “Make a difference every day to the health and wellbeing of our communities”. Our organisation is a great place to work, with a passionate, values-driven and committed executive team at the helm working with a talented, caring, and compassionate workforce.

We are now looking to fill an exciting and crucial position to our Board of Directors – our new Executive Director of Nursing, AHPs & Quality. The post-holder will be a full voting member of the Board and contribute to the overall development and implementation of our long-term vision, strategic direction, corporate plans, and governance arrangements.

Providing professional leadership of all Nurses and AHPs, you will be accountable for ensuring the highest possible quality of care and improving patient experience. Being the Executive Lead for Infection Prevention Control, Tissue Viability and Safeguarding Children and Vulnerable Adults, you will also advise the Board on all matters relating to Patient Safety.

Leading on all aspects of the quality agenda, you will act as the CQC Manager for all registered activities, locations and relationships. You will also be the Executive lead for the Health Inequalities agenda, as well as the research agenda, promoting a culture of continuous quality improvement. You will work across the Nottinghamshire ICS, ensuring a collaborative and open approach to cross-organisational partnerships supporting the wider community to support service integration and transformation and improving quality.

We are looking for a collaborative and compassionate leader with a natural ability to build trust. You will be an effective member of the Board and an inspirational leader to all clinical and non- clinical staff, ensuring compliance with statutory and professional standards and local policies. You will be an ambassador for the organisation, acting as a role model at all times, demonstrating and promoting the organisation’s values and expected behaviors.

As an inclusive organisation, we welcome applications from candidates of diverse backgrounds.
