Finegreen are currently supporting a large NHS organisation in the appointment of a senior Estates professional, this will be a permanent appointment for the Trust.
Ensuring that patients are cared for in a safe, secure, and suitable environment, and that clinical and support colleagues have a suitable environment in which to work.
This senior professional will be responsible for the development and efficient delivery of statutory compliant engineering services under their control at the sites. This includes the management of specialist contractors.
Provide leadership and direction to the Operational Maintenance department, taking the lead with the senior Estates team in developing the strategy for the department in line with the Trust’s overall strategy and transformation programmes.
This will include playing a key role in identifying opportunities for innovation and modernisation,
the delivery of all operational performance targets and Trust objectives, financial management, commercial development, and general management.
You will be a leading change agent and will be responsible for securing the commitment of all staff in the operational maintenance department to organisational change which supports the Trust’s development where applicable.
Ensuring that healthcare services are supported by a maintenance regime that is fit for purpose and based on national best practice. To include but not be limited to: Planned Preventive Maintenance, Breakdown Maintenance and Specialist Maintenance.
Responsible for supporting the formulation, project management and delivery of the backlog maintenance capital programme for engineering and building assets on the Trust estate.
The ideal candidate will have:
Degree in an Engineering subject or relevant equivalent experience;
Evidence of specialist knowledge acquired through post-graduate courses and relevant experience;
Minimum of 5 years extensive experience managing operational estates and maintenance services within the NHS or other healthcare environment;
Proven ability to manage change, service activity and development within a large, dynamic, and complex organisation.
