We are working with an NHS organisation who are seeking to appoint an Interim Senior Year End Accountant for a short term, 6 month appointment.

The role will start ASAP and will be at NHS Agency caped rates at Band 8c/8d depending on experience. Hybrid working is available for this contract.

The organisation are looking for a someone who has the experience of leading the technical accounting function for a Trust to support the senior leadership within Technical Accounts, and deputise when/where needed, to help ensure that the Trust is well prepared for external audit and that that process is well managed.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Support in the preparation and delivery of the interim and year-end audits, Annual Accounts and Report;

• Independent review of adequacy of balance sheet reconciliations with focus upon control accounts;

• Preparation and Interim audit; 

• Key point of contact for external auditors;

• Monitor timeliness of responses and escalates where delays;

• Liaison with Procurement to verify stock values; 

• Support with completion of PFR;

• Preparation of annual accounts and accompanying notes;

• Remuneration report;

• Work with Finance Capital & Projects to review Land, Building valuations and IFRS16.
