We are seeking an experienced Interim Head of Financial Management to join a forward-thinking NHS Provider Trust in the South East. This is a pivotal leadership role, ideal for a seasoned finance professional who can hit the ground running and provide expert oversight during a period of transition.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the Financial Management function across the Trust, ensuring robust financial control and high-quality financial reporting;

• Support strategic planning and operational decision-making through sound financial insight;

• Work closely with Executive and Divisional leaders to manage budgets, forecasts, and financial performance;

• Ensure compliance with NHS financial policies and reporting requirements.

Requirements:

• Proven experience at Head of Financial Management or equivalent level within an NHS Provider Trust – essential;

• Strong technical knowledge of NHS finance frameworks, planning cycles, and reporting standards;

• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop finance teams in a complex healthcare environment;

• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills;

• Immediate availability or short notice preferred.

Additional Information:

• Location: South East England (Hybrid working model – onsite presence required as needed);

• Duration: Initial 3–6 months;

• Rate: Band 8c / 8d – in line with NHS agency capped rates.
