Finegreen are working with an NHS organisation who are seeking an experienced Interim Assistant Director of Finance for an initial 6-month contract. This is a key leadership role focused on driving financial improvement across the organisation.
The role is based in Yorkshire/Humber, will start ASAP and will be at NHS Agency Capped rates for Band 8d, hybrid working is available with a mix of onsite and remote working.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead on financial recovery initiatives, efficiency savings, and cost improvement programmes;
Provide strategic financial advice to senior leadership and operational teams;
Work closely with clinical and operational teams to embed financial sustainability;
Ensure robust financial governance and reporting mechanisms are in place;
Develop and implement financial improvement plans in line with NHS priorities.
Requirements:
Proven experience in a senior NHS finance role (Band 8D equivalent);
Strong background in financial improvement, cost control, and transformation;
Ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels;
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills;
CCAB or equivalent professional qualification.
