This is a rewarding and high-impact role, offered on a substantive or fixed-term contract basis, ideal for experienced consultants or senior trainees approaching their CCT.

About the Role

As a Consultant in Palliative Medicine, you will provide senior clinical leadership across the hospice’s inpatient unit and community-based services. You will contribute to complex symptom management, advance care planning, and multidisciplinary team decision-making, while also helping to shape the future of palliative services through teaching, service development and clinical governance.

You will work collaboratively with local NHS providers, GPs, and hospital teams to ensure integrated, person-centred care across the continuum.

Key Requirements

• Full GMC registration with license to practise

• Inclusion on the Specialist Register in Palliative Medicine, or within 6 months of CCT at the time of interview

• Significant clinical experience in specialist palliative care, ideally across hospice, hospital and community settings

• Excellent communication, teamworking and leadership skills

• A strong commitment to high-quality, dignified, patient-centred care
