Job Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Consultant in Intensive Care Medicine to join a progressive and well-regarded Acute NHS Trust in the East Midlands. This post is available on either a substantive or fixed-term contract basis, and we welcome applications from experienced consultants and those nearing completion of their specialist training.

About the Role
You will join a dynamic multidisciplinary team providing consultant-led care across the adult critical care service. The unit manages a broad case mix including medical, surgical, trauma, and emergency care patients. You will contribute to service development, education, and the delivery of safe, evidence-based care across the intensive care pathway.
The Trust values clinical leadership and offers opportunities to contribute to quality improvement, teaching, and research initiatives in collaboration with regional partners.
Key Requirements
Full GMC registration with a license to practise
Entry on the Specialist Register for Intensive Care Medicine (or within 6 months of CCT at interview)
Fellowship of the Faculty of Intensive Care Medicine (FFICM) or equivalent
NHS or UK hospital experience is essential
Strong teamworking skills and a commitment to multidisciplinary care
Applications are also welcomed from dual-trained consultants in ICM and Acute Medicine, Anaesthesia, Emergency Medicine or Respiratory Medicine.
