Senior Personal Health Budget Lead

Job Description

Finegreen are current assisting in the appointment of a Senior Personal Health Budget Lead. The role is at a senior level, and candidates wishing to be considered will have extensive knowledge of CHC and FNC to others based on the legal and policy framework.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • The post holder will lead on providing clinical leadership and professional expertise, ensuring each package of care delivers high quality care representing value for money within agreed available funding;

  • Act as the clinical lead for CHC, advising on specific related areas, liaising with health providers, local authorities, NHS & independent sectors;

  • Oversight of all aspects of allocated budgets;

  • Responsible for ensuring assessment, case management and review systems are in place in receipt of complex care;

  • Contribute to the development of data collection systems and performance improvement;

  • Respond to complaints within the area of relevance to the post and other areas;

  • Accountable for supporting development across the organisation in the personalisation agenda and to support the pathway delivery for Personal Health Budgets;

  • Ensure adequate training resources are available to enable continuing professional development;

  • Provide line management support, undertaking assessment, case management and review of clients as appropriate;

  • Present information and issues, explaining highly complex issues, to a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Registered nurse current with NMC or registered healthcare professional with the HCPC;

  • Experience working as an experienced clinician working across the system;

  • Experience of drafting briefing papers and correspondence for CHC management team;

  • Considerable leadership, recruitment, and project co-ordination experience;

  • Significant experience of successfully operating in a politically sensitive environment.
