Senior Employment Relations Specialist

Job Description

A new opportunity has arisen to work for an NHS organisation who are seeking to appoint a Senior Employment Relations Specialist. The role will be for 3 – 4 days per week and will be for 6 months in the first instance.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting and advising the executive and senior leadership team in respect of complex employment relation matters within the directorate;

  • Supporting decision making groups, meeting planning and support, letter writing, supporting commissioning managers and investigators;

  • Potentially supporting disciplinary, capability, attendance and MHPS hearings and appeals;

  • Tracking activity and ensuring actions are completed and records maintained;

  • Providing updates and reports on progress up to board level and identity risks and mitigations in respect of the ER matters.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • CIPD qualification;

  • Previous experience of NHS terms and conditions for Agenda for Change staff and Doctors;

  • Specialist HR experience in employee relations;

  • Excellent negotiation and facilitation skills.
