An exciting opportunity has arisen, supporting a large healthcare organisation as a Multi-Skilled Building Craftsman.
The post will be permanent and based in the Northwest, on a salary of £22,549 - £28,882 depending on experience.
The post holder will act using their own initiative as a multi-skilled building craftsman, providing building maintenance services to properties maintained by the organisation.
Main Responsibilities:
Follow and ensure compliance with all trust procedures and policies including Health and Safety and Risk Management;Carry out Risk Assessments for work carried out by self;Liaise with organisation management, nursing personnel, and support personnel to advise on the best course of action to be taken in situations as they arise and carry out recommendations;Ensure compliance with all contractual / statutory / mandatory undertakings associated with delivery of a comprehensive building maintenance service;Ensure compliance with relevant organisation quality initiatives, procedures and policies including health and safety and risk management and all operational policies and procedures;Carry out the full range of building maintenance activities in accordance with relevant health technical memoranda, British standards, codes of practice and legislation;Liaise with nursing staff, organisation management, and other support staff to ascertain the extent of problems, and priority;Undertake specialist mandatory equipment training to enable the organisation to meet its obligations under its policies and legislation;Update knowledge of new techniques/equipment as necessary;Train other members of estates staff as and when necessary.A successful candidate will have:
