The post holder’s primary responsibility will be to oversee the effective delivery of the MIS, this role can be undertaken on a remote basis. You will need to be conversant with the MIS on an operational level.
Key responsibilities will include:
Maternity safety is an important issue for all NHS organisations, an understanding of CNST is integral for any applicant to this role;
The Maternity Safety Strategy sets out the overall ambition to reward those who have taken action to improve maternity safety;
This role supports this work through the Maternity Incentive Scheme (MIS), which incentivises ten maternity safety actions across a range of areas;
The Clinical Delivery Lead will manage the programme of work associated with the Maternity Incentive Scheme (MIS);
Managing the day to day running of the MIS including maintaining and responding to the MIS queries inbox, managing key milestones,coordinating internal and external resource; liaising with maternity providers and supporting the Senior Responsible Officer to collaborate with key partner organisations;
Drafting/maintaining key MIS documentation including project plans, agendas/papers, contact logs, risk and issue logs;
Leading MIS training/webinars (internal and external);
Identifying and implementing opportunities to continuously improve the MIS including devising a system for cross-checking MIS results with other external verification points; and
Acting as a champion for the MIS both internally and externally;
Support the wider work of the Early Notification Maternity Team;
Communicating on performance issues that will require motivational, empathic and reassurance skills;
Use diplomacy, negotiation and complex interpretation skills to deal with a variety of audiences, internal and external;
Identify and communicate clearly defined deliverables within the MIS and produce accurate management information on the scheme;
Prepare regular, timely and accurate reports to the Senior Management Team and Board.
The ideal candidate will be:
Registered midwife with senior level of experience across a broad range of maternity services;
A highly motivated individual, able to demonstrate leadership, problem-solving skills and strong service delivery experience;
Well-developed negotiation and influencing skills;
Ability to work with multiple stakeholders across organisation's;
Previous experience leading/coordinating the Maternity Incentive Scheme at Trust level.
