Interim Senior Performance & Service Improvement Manager

Job Description

We are working with an NHS organisation who are seeking to appoint an Interim Senior Performance & Service Improvement Manager. This role will be for 3 months initially, though could extend and is expected to be based mainly onsite.

This is an interim role that falls under the Workforce Alliance Framework and should be expected to be remunerated at c£320 per day.

Key responsibilities will include:

Responsible for ensuring a full working knowledge of all services within the Directorate, the associated performance metrics and key issues that are affecting the Directorate’s national performance metrics;

Optimising resource management through robust operational rotas for diagnostics to improve capacity and list utilization;

Responsibility for overseeing the day to day functional management of the diagnostics (DM01), RTT and cancer performance across the division;

Maximising operational and national performance management standards - emergency care, Cancer, RTT and DM01;

Optimisation of the patient pathway, ensuring that patients are streamed to the most appropriate pathway for their care needs;

Identification and development of new pathways of care in conjunction with clinical leads;

Development of strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders in order to further enhance the patient pathway.

The ideal candidate will have:

Operational and/or performance management expertise across RTT, Diagnostics, Cancer services;

Service Development and Improvement expertise;

Graduate level or equivalent academic or healthcare professional qualification;

NHS experience working in a similar role at band 8b level within an acute setting;

Significant budget and staff management experience;

Project management experience.
