Interim Safe Care Clinical Project Implementation Lead

We are working with an NHS Trust who are seeking to appoint an Interim Safe Care Clinical Project Implementation Lead. This role will be for 12 months and is based on site.

This is an interim role that falls under the Workforce Alliance Framework and should be expected to be remunerated at a £195 - £225 day rate dependent on experience.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Provide leadership in the Trust-wide and health economy-wide transformation schemes and the implementation of safe care, linked to the Trust’s objectives and strategic direction to provide safe effective services and outcomes;

  • Act as an effective role model, contribute to a culture of civility and inclusivity, positive performance management and develop own credibility through the demonstration of high standards;

  • Provide the required assurances to the Chief Nurse/Executive Director of Nursing, via Directorate and divisional processes that the safe care roll out and implementation is being delivered with exceptions being reported;

  • Lead on the performance monitoring and reporting with responsibility for monitoring progress of the implementation in line with Annual Programme, recognising changing priorities and implementing corrective actions where necessary;

  • Ensure collaborative working with key partners externally and internally including: In house rostering team, external rostering stakeholders, Ward and Departmental managers, Matrons, Heads of Nursing and Midwifery, Divisional Directors, Divisional Management Teams, Directorate Management Team, Site, Capacity and Bed Management Teams.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Previous experience at a senior level of working within a Band 6 leadership role;

  • Previous project management / improvement experience;

  • Experience of Implementation of change, change methodology and process;

  • Experience of working/ liaising with agencies across organisational boundaries;

  • Audit and Practice evaluation experience and successful completion of audit programmes.
