Interim Programme Manager - PMO (8a)

Job Description

We are working with an NHS organisation who are seeking to appoint an Interim Programme Manager working with the organisation’s Finance PMO to deliver CIP improvement across Theatres and/or Outpatients.

The role will be hybrid working, will start ASAP for 6 months initially and will be at interim rates for Band 8a c£250 - £275 a day depending upon experience. The role will be via the CCS NMNC RM6277 Framework and will be Inside IR35.

Key responsibilities will include:

Supporting Theatres and Outpatients Programmes in the Productivity portfolio to deliver the efficiency requirement for 23/24;

This will involve supporting business change managers and project managers with drafting robust project initiation documents, that include a clear goal, method and outcome, with agreed milestone, actions and benefits;

Liaising regularly with the senior responsible officer, business change managers and project manager of progress, risks and issues;

Provide assurance to the Finance and Efficiency Committee through timely and accurate reporting;

Monitoring progress and driving forward the delivery of the projects and programmes;

Ensure the Programme Management software is kept up to date to ensure accurate reporting to the relevant governance routes;

Supporting the successful running of the Programme Boards, through accurate reporting and collating relevant documentation. Interpret and analyse data to identify opportunity areas.

The ideal candidate will have:

Credible and proven Programme and Project Management experience;

Exceptional organisational skills are essential;

Experience within Theatres/Outpatients;

Excellent attention to detail;

Be able to successfully drive forward change to deliver programme and project objectives;

Able to communicate and engage with all levels of staff across the trust up to executive level.
