We are working with an NHS organisation who are seeking to appoint an Interim Patient Access Manager for a South East NHS Trust for 4-6 months initially.
The role will start ASAP and will be at Band 6 NHSI Agency capped rates c£200 a day on an interim basis. Interviews will be ASAP and the assignment will be via the CCS NMNC RM6277 Framework.
Key responsibilities will include:
Support the cross site administration team. Developing standardised booking procedure templates for multiple Radiology modalities;
Accountable for the delivery of high quality, effective and flexible patient access, clerical and administrative services for the Radiology Department;
Responsible for the line management of the Booking, Reception and Secretarial teams. This will include the allocation of work, training and development, staff appraisal and recruitment & selection;
Support the development and monitoring of the systems for collection, recording and use of patient demographics for use by Trust staff for the monitoring of activity against contracted/commissioned work, to apply this information to waiting list management for the Department;
Actively monitor and take appropriate action related to the maintenance of the Imaging waiting lists, in line with Trust and national policies and guidelines. Ensure full utilisation of resources available;
Work in collaboration with the Senior Management and Clinical Management Teams in the delivery of the national waiting times for diagnostics services.
The ideal candidate will have:
Degree/diploma in business administration or equivalent experience;
Strong Microsoft office expertise (to include pivot charts);
Experience of working in fast paced, high Volume environment Proven change management experience;
Track record of people management;
Experience developing and maintaining systems of work.
