We are working with an NHS organisation who are seeking to appoint an Interim Operational Service Manager - Imaging. This role will be for 3 months and is expected to be onsite based working.
This is an interim role that falls under the Workforce Alliance Framework and should be expected to be remunerated at a c£290 day rate dependant on experience.
Key responsibilities will include:
Day to day operational and business management of the area of responsibility;
Overall operational management responsibility for the admissions process within the Directorate;
Delegated budget management from the General Manager;
To lead the development and implementation of an innovative and efficient strategy for delivering services, ensuring this is aligned to Directorate and strategic objectives;
Line Management responsibility for all the administrative staff within the specialties via the Assistant Service Managers / Admin Managers;
Effective operational, business and financial management, as well as the delivery of quality and cost improvement projects;
Manage income and activity – NHS, International and Private Patients and National Commissioning Group and Consortia contracts;
Manage operational performance of area of responsibility in conjunction with relevant Heads of Service, Lead Clinicians and Matrons through a monthly speciality review;
Ensuring compliance and effective monitoring/validation processes against all national performance targets.
The ideal candidate will have:
Degree educated or poses significant equivalent experience;
Experience in developing and implementing operational process and procedures;
Demonstratable experience of managing Imaging services at band 8a level within an NHS Acute provider setting.
