Interim IT Project Manager

Job Description

We are working with an NHS organisation who are seeking to appoint an Interim IT Project Manager. This role will be for 3 months and is expected to be based onsite.

This is an interim role that falls under the Workforce Alliance Framework and should be expected to be remunerated at a c£220 day rate.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Manage projects or a programme of projects that will deliver service transformation. To manage projects and their associated work streams either as individual packages or as part of wider programmes;

  • Take an active role within the ICS Digital Team in developing and delivering service improvement, training programmes and workshops to meet strategic and operational requirements;

  • Plan and implement projects involving new ways of working, including capacity planning and the identification of areas for collaborative working, in particular the Shared Care Record;

  • Hold responsibility for performance reporting, project management and/or organisational development in the delivery of service transformation, using Lean and other change methodologies, and to understand interdependencies with other initiatives.

  • To ensure risks and issues are identified, reported effectively and counter measures are in place;

  • To support the project /programme in communicating and presenting to large diverse groups, and to motivate and encourage collaborative working and improvements to services where there is resistance to change.

  • To provide expert advice on service improvement and to lead on service development and develop and document policies and protocols for activities within their responsibility.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Digital qualification to degree level or equivalent experience in developing and implementing in management information systems;

  • Evidence of successful implementation of service improvement projects;

  • Experience of service redesign processes;

  • Experience of IT project management within the NHS.
