We are working with an NHS organisation who are seeking to appoint an Interim Hospital Director. This role will be for 6 months and is based on site.
This is an interim role that falls under the Workforce Alliance Framework and should be expected to be remunerated at a VSM level, dependant on experience.
Key responsibilities will include:
Negotiating with external agencies to secure additional income for the delivery of performance targets and to agree supporting Service Level Agreements and infrastructure;
Ensure effective arrangements are in place to communicate on both operational and strategic issues with managers and clinicians across the Division and the Trust;
Develop alignment with the clinical staff involving an understanding and appreciation of the Divisional targets and Trust business objectives;
Ensure the delivery of a robust planning cycle to agreed activity levels, capacity, systems and processes required to achieve the specialties and local services standards;
Ensure that the Trust sets improvement goals which incorporate local, national and international benchmarks as appropriate and review progress against these.
Communicate the Trust vision, values and strategic aims and objectives both inside and outside the organisation.
The ideal candidate will have:
Experience which includes working at Director Management level within the NHS within the last year at Band 8d or above;
Broad experience of leading large teams of professional staff within a performance management culture;
Experience within delivery and improvement of clinical services within an acute hospital setting.
