We are working with an NHS Trust who are seeking to appoint an Interim Head of Research Operations. This role will be for 3 months and is based on site.
This is an interim role that falls under the Workforce Alliance Framework and should be expected to be remunerated at a c£310 day rate.
Key responsibilities will include:To implement the Trust R&I strategy, growing led research activity and developing the Trials Unit;To be accountable for the strategic and operational management of the department and Trials Unit, including operational performance standards, quality standards, research activity, finance, staff performance and governance;Provide leadership, management and direction to staff within the department, including the Trust Unit, ensuring delivery of a professional, high quality service;To build and shape the future of the Trust Unit and the specialist services offered to the NHS, academia, SMEs and other stakeholders so that the Trust Unit is recognized as a market leader in this specialist area;Develop and deliver the Trust Research & Innovation strategy in line with national objectives and local priorities.
The ideal candidate will have:PhD or equivalent relevant professional qualification;Demonstrable management and leadership qualification/experience;PRINCE2 practitioner certificate / other formal project management training.
