Interim Head of Performance

Job Description

An exciting new opportunity has arisen to work for a healthcare organisation who are seeking to appoint an Interim Performance Manager.

Candidates must have extensive experience of performance management within the NHS, in addition to strong negotiation and influencing skills.

The role will be remunerated under the NHSI Agency Caps at a competitive rate.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Lend expertise and knowledge in the strategic development of the performance function;

  • Monitor, report and manage all agreed performance standards across the portfolio, and support key improvement areas;

  • Analyse data and challenge senior management on specific areas as necessary;

  • Investigate performance issues;

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with all departments and external partners as it relates to the performance function;

  • Ensure effective performance management structures are in place to assist the teams in the delivery of KPIs and targets;

  • Support planning and contract negotiation.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Postgraduate qualification or equivalent level of experience;

  • Extensive experience of performance management within a healthcare setting is essential;

  • Strong knowledge of performance management methodologies;

  • Excellent negotiation and influencing skills.
