Interim General Manager - Medicine

Job Description

We are working with an NHS Trust who are seeking to appoint Interim Operations Manager – Medicine. This role will be for 3 months and is based on site with the potential for some hybrid working.

This is an interim role that falls under the Workforce Alliance Framework and should be expected to be remunerated at.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Operational management and responsibility for Medicine Services within the division;

  • Management and delivery of Key KPIs for the service;

  • Develop and implement performance management systems;

  • Manage the implementation of systems, control processes and risk management arrangements to support monitoring of compliance with clinical governance standards;

  • Efficient and effective use of resources to ensure highest standards of patient care and excellent service delivery;

  • Hold budget and input into the budget setting of the Healthcare Group.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent experience Management or equivalent clinical qualification;

  • Experience of working at a senior operational level in the NHS;

  • Significant experience of managing Medicine services;

  • Demonstrable expertise within the NHS at band 8b level.
