We are working with an NHS Trust who are seeking to appoint an Assistant Service Manager across the Critical Care, Renal and Vascular specialisms. This role will be for 3 months and is based onsite.
This is an interim role that falls under the Workforce Alliance Framework and should be expected to be remunerated between c£220 – c£260 per day rate, dependant on experience.
Key responsibilities will include:
Support across the clinical services for Critical Care, Vascular and Renal, in the operational delivery and performance management to ensure key access standards are met, maintained and sustained;
Support the Operational Lead with key RTT and Performance KPI’s for the services;
Undertake cost effective planning, development, implementation and management of services predominantly within Vascular;
Responsible for operational and planning issues and will work closely with key stakeholders and high profile members of staff to identify and implement solutions;
Work independently to manage their own workload in line with service requirements and local/national policies;
Deputise for the Operational Lead where required and appropriate.
The ideal candidate will have:
Management experience within and NHS Acute setting;
Significant Experience of operational management of clinical services;
Understanding of PTL methodology and tracking processes;
Knowledge and understanding of Cancer waiting time standards and Peer Review.
