We are working with an NHS organisation who are seeking to appoint an Interim Adult Safeguarding Nurse for an initial 3 month contract that has the potential to extend.
The role will start ASAP and be under the NHS Agency capped rates for Band 7/8a via the CCS NMNC RM6277.
The role will be hybrid working with an expectation of 1-2 days remote working per week.
Key responsibilities will include:
Support the Adult Safeguarding Lead and the Adult Safeguarding Named Nurse in the delivery and monitoring of adult safeguarding procedures within/throughout the Trust;
Support the provision of specialised advice and expert knowledge to staff, peers, other professionals, and multi-agency partners on all aspects of adult safeguarding on designated site;
Support the provision of assurance to the Adults Safeguarding Committee and the Local Safeguarding Boards and agency partners, that the Trust is meeting its statutory duties for the safeguarding of adults at risk;
Participate in the provision of support and supervision to all staff on issues relating to safeguarding adults at risk and to be a role model for safe, competent, and professional practice in relation to the safeguarding of adults at risk;
Assist in the delivery of training for staff in all aspects of adult safeguarding and participate in the development and delivery of a training strategy;
Participate with policy development within all aspects of safeguarding adults at risk and assist in the delivery of national and local safeguarding recommendations and guidance.
The ideal candidate will have:
First Level Nursing Registration;
Specialist safeguarding training knowledge and evidence of remaining up to date with changing practice, guidance, legislation and requirements;
Significant safeguarding experience;
Demonstrable experience of developing assurance systems;
Significant experience of NHS service provision for adults.
