We are delighted to be supporting an NHS organisation with their recruitment for a Head of Finance Contracting.
Key responsibilities will include:
Advising the board on strategic and operational matters relating to finance and business, acting as lead for finance across the service;
Offering expertise as a subject matter expert on financial or contractual issues, ensuring the organisation has assurance on finance, contracting and quality;
Providing professional leadership to the Finance/Contracting teams;
Analysis of a range of complex data sets, presenting findings to a range of audiences;
Development of monitoring, recording and reporting systems demonstrating performance;
Analysis and communication of complex clinical information from audits, national reviews etc ensuring that the learning is taken forward appropriately;
Identification and management of financial and business risks and mitigations.
The ideal candidate will have:
Qualified accountant with full membership and evidence of up-to-date continuing professional
development;
Relevant Masters degree or First degree and management qualification, MBA or equivalent;
Advanced theoretical and practical knowledge of financial and management accounting procedures and NHS finance policies;
Experience of providing financial leadership, mentorship, and professional development at a very senior level with demonstrable outcomes;
Experience of invoice validation and NHS payment systems;
Experience of NHS Contracting, Provider performance management and use of appropriate Contract Levers.
