General Manager Child Health

Job Description

We are working with an NHS Trust in the East of England who are seeking to appoint an Interim General Manager for Child Health. This role will be for 3 months and is based on site.

This is an interim role that falls under the Workforce Alliance Framework and should be expected to be remunerated at a c£310 day rate dependant on experience.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Operational management and responsibility for Child Health Services within the Women and Children’s Divison;
  • Management and delivery of waiting list performance for the service;
  • Develop and implement performance management systems;
  • Manage the implementation of systems, control processes and risk management arrangements to support monitoring of compliance with clinical governance standards;
  • Efficient and effective use of resources to ensure highest standards of patient care and excellent service delivery;
  • Hold budget and input into the budget setting of the Healthcare Group.
  • The ideal candidate will have:

  • Educated to masters level or equivalent experience Management or equivalent clinical qualification;
  • Experience of working at a senior operational level in the NHS;
  • Significant experience of managing services within Womens and Childrens;
  • Demonstrable expertise within the NHS at band 8b level.
