Engagement and Communications Specialist

Job Description

We have a new opportunity for an Interim Engagement and Communications Project Lead to work with a Yorkshire based NHS Trust. This is a part-time role for 9 months.

The successful candidate will lead and advise on all aspects of communication and stakeholder engagement, handling project-based communications across internal, external and digital communications, developing and implementing project specific strategic communications plans.

Key responsibilities will include:

Attending Board and project Group meetings to report and advise on communication and engagement issues;

Establish positive working relationships at speed - working with those at all levels within the organisation, from CEO through to administrator;

Manage a busy workload, responding to conflicting priorities as required;

Liaise with the Trust’s Central Communications team to ensure consistency in relation to media management, crisis communications and reputation management.

The ideal candidate will have:

Extensive experience of engagement with multi-stakeholders;

Experience of arranging multi stakeholder engagement and consultation events (digitally and in person);

Extensive experience of developing and maintaining relationships with stakeholders (both internal and external), plus engagement;

Demonstrable track record of delivering impactful communications strategies (ideally within NHS/ health care setting);

Experience of strategic marketing and communications planning and implementation;

Understanding of brand and reputational management
