Director of Quality Governance

Job Description

Finegreen are currently working with a Large NHS organisation in the appointment of a Director of Quality Governance.

This is an interim post for 3 months initially with a competitive day rate, dependant on experience. The role will be working inside IR35 (through an umbrella solution company).

The post holder will provide senior leadership and oversite of Quality Governance, managing effectiveness, safety, and responsiveness or patient-centre care.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Effectively work alongside and support the Chief Nurse to accumulate all areas of Quality Governance;

  • Lead and manage the implementation of the quality plan, working closely with the senior management;

  • Develop recommendations ensuring the sustainability of the improvements for the organisation’s approach to quality management and governance, including structures, capacity, and capability;

  • Working with senior leads to be the first point of contact in reviewing of quality and fostering actions to set improvements;

  • Accountability for the framework and the design of a maturity assessment for the divisions;

  • Management and reporting of progress, risk identification and mitigation, including action trackers.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Senior management experience within the NHS;

  • Must be a registered clinician with the NMC;

  • Extensive Clinical Governance experience, specialising in Quality and able to act as source of information;

  • In-depth knowledge of legislative developments and national best practice;

  • Leadership of the professional agenda in a complex environment.
