Cyber Analyst

Job Description

An exciting new opportunity has arisen to work for an NHS organisation who are seeking to appoint a Cyber Analyst.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Playing a leading technical role in the provision of effective, efficient and fully integrated IT operational services that maximise their availability, integrity and security for end-users and optimise the value gained by the organisation from its investment in IT;
  • Supporting the implementation of network and computer security with varying complexities ensuring business strategies and processes are considered in translation to IT solutions;
  • Operating across the organisation and computer technology ‘silos’ to drive common security approaches across the enterprise architecture;
  • Acting as champion for the department’s ITIL Security processes, establishing, implementing, operating, monitoring, reviewing, maintaining and improving the Information Security Management System;
  • Providing support to senior stakeholders in securing the enterprise architecture technologies when working with external vendors, suppliers and other stakeholders;
  • Helping to create complex security structures and ensuring they work.
  • The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience in a similar role in a very large, complex organisation;
  • Security certification would be desirable;
  • Expertise in data protection, information security issues, and in providing proactive IT System/Network performance monitoring.
  • Excellent interpersonal and explanatory skills in dealing with a wide range of information technology users from skilled to ICT-illiterate.
