CQC Quality Standards Officer

Job Description

Finegreen are working with an NHS organisation in the East Midlands who are looking to appoint a CQC Quality Standards Lead. This role will be for 6 months on a fixed term basis with potential opportunity to go permanent.

The hourly rate will be £34.65, working Inside IR35 (through an Umbrella Solution company). The post will require 2-3 days per week on-site flexible working, with the rest working remotely.

The post holder will be responsible for reporting assurance on compliance and progress on key actions to the organisation’s Board via Quality and Risk Committee.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Working under the Deputy Director of Nursing & Quality to create a detailed action plan and reporting mechanisms;

  • Implement effective systems and processes to support the organisation’s clinical delivery compliance with the Health and Social Care;

  • Develop and lead an effective peer review framework across the organisation to enable individuals and teams to understand their clinical compliance and provide effective assurance against fundamental clinical standards of care;

  • Work closely with both the Head of Nursing and Professional practice and Head of Quality Governance and Patient Safety to meet statutory obligations and standards for clinical healthcare governance;

  • Develop and deliver induction and training programmes to ensure staff are skilled in the organisation’s quality improvement methodology;

  • Work in close liaison with leaders and clinical teams within the organisation, to ensure that teams are aware of what is required by CQC within all service lines;

  • Develop and co-ordinate a robust monitoring and reporting system, ensuring data management systems of clinical evidence demonstrate compliance against CQC fundamental clinical standards of care.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience working within the NHS/a healthcare setting;

  • A background in either clinical care delivery, care standards or professional registration – must hold higher level expertise and knowledge in CQC standards and regulatory frameworks;

  • Must be experienced and expert in CQC standards and regulations;

  • Project and programme management experience and skills;

  • Experience of the analysis and presentation of complex data relating to quality, safety, and clinical effectiveness;

  • A high level of planning and organisational skills.
