Contracts Manager - Remote Working

Job Description

We are working with an NHS organisation to fill the position of a Contracts Manager. The role will on an interim period for 6 months initially on a competitive rate, based on experience.

The post holder will support the Senior Contracts Manager by leading on the negotiation and management of a selection of the organisation’s healthcare contracts.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Ensure that the organisation’s income is maximised through proactive and effective contract management;

  • Autonomous working and initiative required to ensure that healthcare contracts are agreed, documented, and managed effectively;

  • Attending appropriate meetings commensurate with the role and managing third parties to ensure deliverables are met in a timely manner;

  • Demonstrate effective stakeholder management across different organisations and at all levels;

  • Ability to negotiate contracts and ensure funding is in place to support service delivery;

  • Support complex queries that arise and need investigation and analysis at that higher level;

  • Responsibility for contract management and will need to report on or receive and analyse highly complex data and information which is sometimes sensitive or confidential;

  • Contribute to business cases and present at relevant committees e.g., Operational Leadership Team, Finance and Resources Committee etc;

  • Influence decisions that will impact on the future strategy of the organisation and other healthcare organisations across the region;

  • Network and form relationships, both externally and internally;

  • Report on performance management, operational activities and make presentations using a range of information from a variety of sources.

  • The ideal candidate will have:

  • NHS experience desirable;

  • Large scale programme experience is a plus;

  • Good understanding of the NHS financial regime;

  • High negotiating and influencing skills;

  • Adaptable, with a high-level of written and verbal communication.
