Finegreen are Supporting a Care Home/Hospice located in Yorkshire and Humber in their recruitment for a Clinical Governance Lead. The post will be working on a fixed term contract basis between 4 – 6 months with 1-2 days per week required on site and the rest working remotely.
The post holder can work full time hours, or condensed hours over 4 days per week. The salary will be at £28,000 pa.
The post holder will provide clinical leadership across the organisation in terms of Patient Safety, Risk and the implantation of quality and improvements.
Key responsibilities will include:
Provide supervision and direction to the Governance facilitator and in turn Data Analyst;
Develop and lead a rolling programme of service outcome measures which capture the effectiveness of the organisation services and which supports the requirements of the Care Quality Commission and other Statutory Bodies;
Line management responsibility for the Clinical Governance Facilitator;
Hold of a review of systems and process and overall leading on serious incidents, complaints and risk;
Review of outstanding policies, able to put together an action plan to implement new procedures;
Implementation and monitoring of an electronic risk system for effective working;
Supporting with preparations for a pending CQC visits;
Able to analyse and interpret National Policy and Guidance and assess and present implications for the organisation’s Board of Trustees.
The ideal candidate will have:
Experience of working at a senior management level within the NHS/a healthcare setting;
Detailed knowledge and understanding of patient safety agenda;
Knowledge and understanding of investigating and managing Serious Untoward Incidents, including Root Cause Analysis techniques;
Proven leadership and management skills;
Able to carry out project work in conjunction with the Clinical Director.
