An exciting new opportunity has arisen to work for an NHS organisation who are seeking to appoint a Charities Head of Finance and Governance. The role will involve a hybrid working approach.
Key responsibilities will include:
Assuming managerial responsibility for the Accounts of Charitable Funds, from order processing through to completion of the Annual Accounts and Annual Report;
Day-to-day management of the accounting processes;
Leading on taxation for the charity;
Maintenance of the Charitable Funds accounting system, updating records and accounting periods and liaison with systems provider;
Ensuring that a robust system of internal control is maintained with regard to transaction processing;
Ensuring that Charitable Funds financial transactions are accurately and promptly dealt with, recorded and reported regularly to the numerous charitable fund holders and in consolidated form to the Trustees;
Preparation of the Annual Report and Accounts of the Charity;
Providing support to the charity trustees.
The ideal candidate will have:
CCAB qualification;
Post qualification training or experience in Charity accounting;
Full knowledge of SORP;
Substantial financial accounting experience;
Experience with IT accounting packages and administration of legacies.
