Associate Director of Clinical Governance

Finegreen are currently assisting in the appointment of an Assistant Director of Clinical Governance to work within the North West on an interim assignment for 3 months initially.

The role will require majority on-site working due to the nature of the role with some potential for remote. The hourly rate will be between £49.54 - £59.11, working inside IR35 (through an umbrella solution company).

The post holder will lead on a broad range of clinical governance and patient experience activity, working closely with the Director of Nursing.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Vast experience within Governance and Patient Experience, able to review patient safety investigation reports, clinical audits, and complaints to present to NHS Regulators;

  • Lead strategy in relation to patient experience ensuring this is aligned to the Group strategy, responsive to national survey feedback;

  • Ensure that the processes and structures to facilitate clinical governance are established and operational;

  • Lead on the development and implementation of MRI Patient Experience strategy aligned

  • to Group ‘What Matter to Me’ framework, national policy, and feedback from National

  • Patient Experience Surveys;

  • Manage and co-ordinate integrated governance systems which deliver compliance with all relevant external standards and requirements including those of the Care Quality Commission, NHS Improvement, NHS England, and Human Tissue Act;

  • Prioritise and plan workload ensuring deadlines are met within agreed timescales and re-adjusting plans to ensure competing priorities are met.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Senior experience working within the NHS;

  • Extensive experience in clinical governance, clinical effectiveness and patient safety;

  • Expertise within serious incidents, complaints and all related patient experience matters;

  • Understanding of NHS policies and procedures;

  • Significant experience of clinical and/or corporate governance within the NHS;

  • Experience of writing reports, delivering presentations;

  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
