Finegreen are delighted to be working on behalf of NHS organisation in the appointment of a Divisional Group Support Manager for their Emergency Department. 

Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide operational management support to the Group Manager to ensure the Group meet their quality, activity and financial targets; 
  • Work with the Group Manager, Clinical Directors, Senior Nurses, Departmental Managers, Finance and Human Resource managers to contribute to planning, objective setting and change management within both the group and division as a whole; 
  • Contribute to the strategic development of services; 
  • Support the Group Manager with specific change management processes and ensure engagement of the multi-disciplinary team; 
  • Programme manage service developments as requested by the Group Manager; 
  • Assist in the formulation of business cases as required to support service developments, in conjunction with Group Manager; 
  • Ensure that the operational performance of the Group is effectively managed to meet agreed Trust and Divisional objectives; 
  • Work with other members of the MDT, ensure achievement of the Trust in-patient and out-patient maximum waiting time targets for delegated specialties; 
  • To monitor performance against activity targets and other service objectives;
  • To ensure that all national and locally agreed waiting times and booking targets are understood and met; 
  • To monitor and analyse data as required to ensure that the Group Manager has access to timely and accurate information on all relevant key performance indicators with the appropriate formulation of data for reports; 

A successful candidate will have: 

  • Good communication and influencing skills including the ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships; 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; 
  • Clear understanding of the NHS agenda who holds operational/organisational skills with an ability to prioritise work
  • under pressure; 
  • Good team member with proven ability to lead, motivate, inspire and support a multi-professional team.
